Talk on Spirituality and Good Governance at the Municipal Town Hall of Port Louis
The Mauritian Managers Association held a talk on Thursday 2nd July, on Spirituality and Good Governance at the Port Louis municipal town hall, which was delivered by guest speaker, His Holiness Swami Paramananda, author of several books on Spirituality and Meditation and accomplished Meditation Master. The talk attracted a large audience comprising employees from the public and private sectors, who listened to the enlightening and amazing facts revealed by Swamiji, who brushed a clear picture of society where there is a lot of hypocrisy. No one has been able to bring lasting change, because always the wrong approach had been adopted. There can never be good governance without spirituality, because only spirituality can expand one’s consciousness which will ultimately rid one of greed, jealousy and selfishness. How can one practice good governance, when one is still a prisoner of all these limitations? How can there be good governance when humans are considered simply as resources for the production of goods and services and discarded when no longer required? The answer to good governance lies in self education that should be imparted in schools and universities, as a global mind transformation process through the practice of proven scientific methods such as breathing techniques, which can expand consciousness beyond the actual general level of 4.5%. Only a liberated mind can view oneness and perceive the superficiality of differences based on religious beliefs, origin and social status.
The blunt and bold statements were much applauded by the audience and the talk ended with an appeal by Swami Paramananda for a great spiritual revolution that will make all virtues, including good governance, natural in human beings.
After the event, many from the audience met the Master for more information about how to know more about the science of meditation. The Master invited them for the new meditation courses in September and October at our meditation centres.
